VICTORIA / REGINA: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Victor Vrsnik as the new provincial director and spokesman for the CTF in British Columbia.
CTF National Communications Director Troy Lanigan welcomed the new addition to the BC office. "Having worked 5 years as our Manitoba director, Vrsnik's extensive experience in communications, policy development, research, writing and lobbying will be a great asset to the CTF now in British Columbia," Lanigan said.
Vrsnik begins his duties immediately working out of the CTF's Victoria office. He will continue to submit weekly commentaries to BC media outlets, in addition to making himself available for media comment. Vrsnik's first scheduled presentation will be before the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services on October 16th in Prince George.
Schooled at the University of Manitoba (B.A. degree - Political Studies), Vrsnik wrote a regular column on taxes, politics and social issues for the Winnipeg Sun. His work has also appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press, the Financial Post, the Globe and Mail and Reader's Digest.
Vrsnik replaces director Mark Milke, who is completing his second book titled, "Tax Me I'm Canadian - Your money and how politicians spend it." It will be released before Christmas.
